Making Blood Cancer Visible

M&F Health developed a tailored media relations strategy to support our client in raising awareness of blood cancer through the generation of mass media coverage. We created a media package that included new public survey data to entice media to write about blood cancer, tailored press materials with different angles for news and health features writers, arts, medical correspondents and photo journalists.

We worked with a clinical psychologist and nine patient support groups to ensure that all were on hand to provide their personal viewpoints on the impact of blood cancer to requesting journalists. The result was 89 pieces of media coverage across the UK national and local media, reaching over 292.4 million people, with all coverage including disease awareness messaging around disease prevalence.
